<p>WakeUp is a "Wake on LAN" tool that enables your iPhone/iPod/iPad to activate a computer over a local network or the internet.</p>

  <li>Automatic detection of computers on the local network for easy setup</li>
  <li>Support for LAN broadcast/DNS/IP addresses</li>
  <li>SecureOn support</li>
  <li>Add multiple computers</li>
  <li>Create computer groups for convenient waking</li>
  <li>Directly wake your computers from the springboard (not compatible with iOS 7 and iOS 8)</li>
  <li>iCloud synchronization</li>
  <li>Shake'n'wake all devices</li>
  <li>Check status of devices (only available under Wi-Fi)</li>
  <li>Available in 6 languages: English, Italian, German, Chinese, Spanish, and French</li>
</ul>

<p>(*) Linux not supported. Sleep/Shutdown for Windows requires installation of "WakeUp Server" on your PC. Download at www.tommasomadonia.com/wakeup/server/.<br>(**) Compatibility with 'wake over internet' may vary based on your router.</p>

<h3>Typical Uses:</h3>
<ul>
  <li>Power on a computer remotely for VNC file access</li>
  <li>Activate your computer to stream files</li>
</ul>

<h3>Wake on LAN Requisites:</h3>
<ul>
  <li>Your iPad/iPhone/iPod must be on the same network as your computer</li>
  <li>The computer must be linked to the router via an Ethernet cable</li>
  <li>Network cards must support 'Magic Packets' and be configured properly on the computer</li>
</ul>

<h3>Wake over Internet Requisites:</h3>
<ul>
  <li>Requires compliance with Wake on LAN requisites mentioned above</li>
  <li>The network should be accessible over the internet</li>
  <li>Router and firewall must be configured for forwarding of 'Magic Packets'</li>
  <li>Router should forward 'Magic Packets' to turned-off computers</li>
</ul>

<h3>Sleep/Shutdown Requisites:</h3>

<p><em>Mac OSX:</em><br>'Remote Login' must be enabled (System Preferences > Sharing)</p>

<p><em>Windows:</em><br>'WakeUp Server' required (<em>java.com</em>)<br>Version Java 7+</p>

<p><em>Linux:</em><br>(Manual configuration needed)<br>- SSH server<br>- Manual setup for sleep/shutdown SSH commands</p>

<p>Note: Enabling "Wake on LAN" in BIOS may be necessary to power on a computer when turned off. Mac OSX supports "Wake on LAN" and "Wake over internet" when sleeping.</p>
